Check compatibility, clean your tools and organize replacement batteries between weekend projects.
1. Check the exact model first
Compare the tool model, battery voltage, connector and charger requirements before combining components. Similar-looking batteries or packs from different tools are not automatically interchangeable. Review the listing and supplied instructions for the selected item.
2. Disconnect before routine care
Remove the battery before changing accessories or cleaning a tool. Follow the manufacturer instructions for clearing vents, maintaining cutting parts and cleaning contacts. Do not open a battery pack or attempt an improvised repair.
3. Keep charging equipment together
Use only the compatible charger specified for the battery. Keep batteries, chargers and the matching tool information organized so the right equipment is easy to identify. Charging conditions and storage guidance depend on the particular battery.
4. Inspect before the next project
Check for damage, loose parts or unusual behavior before returning the tool to use. Keep stored equipment away from moisture and excessive heat as instructed. Stop using a damaged battery or tool and contact support for model-specific guidance.
